I'm currently living with my family in Springfield, OH, but HECK YES I travel! Travel will be included in the price I give you in the brochure! Just let me know ahead of time where you're planning to have your session!
I do! I only offer a select amount of sessions a year during certain times of the year, so it's important to reach out sooner rather than later to get the ball rollin'!
The best way to find out my availability is to inquire! Click "BOOK ME" or email me at kaila@kailaandcompany.com
When I get home from a session, I back up photos on two different hard drives, both of which I have backup plans for (meaning I have a pre-paid service plan with the makers of the hard drives if photos need to be extracted). I also have multiple cards I shoot on, so I can always go back to the original card if all else fails.

Final payments for weddings are due 30 days before your event, and for sessions final payments are due two weeks before the session.
for sessions, a 50% retainer is required, with the other 50% due two weeks before. for weddings and sessions over $2,500, i break payments up into three parts, 30% due at the time of signing as a retainer, 30% halfway to your event, and 40% due 30 days before your date.
Nope. The contract is between me as the photographer and you as the client, meaning all payments will be considered going through you, and you will have financial responsibility in signing.
I'm the solo photographer for all sessions and packages. You are able to add on an additional photographer if needed.
Yes! Each session is an hour long and includes a location up to 50 miles from Springfield, OH. You can add on more time, or add on an additional travel fee for engagements outside of those parameters.
If it's in Dayton, Columbus, or Cincinnati, there's a good chance I've worked at your venue! HOWEVER even if I haven't, I'm great at insta-stalking venues and finding all the good spots before I get there, as well as what the lighting situation will be like. I come prepared no matter what the situation looks like though, so I'm ready for anything!
Not at the moment, but it is in the works.
I do not. Editing photos is a HUGE part of my art. Giving out my unedited raws is like a chef giving out uncooked ingredients to their customer. No one wants raw chicken. It's taken years to develop my personal style, and that is what you'll get when you receive the photos!
Photos are delivered in a Pinterest-like gallery that includes both high resolution and web-sized photos. From there, you can download, share, or purchase photos from the gallery!
For sessions, you will receive photos back in 4-6 weeks. For weddings you will receive photos around 3 months following your wedding.
For sessions, I leave it up to you whether or not you want to play in the rain with me! If it's storming or if there's a blizzard, we will reschedule for another time. For weddings, things like that are too unpredictable. That's why there are bubble umbrellas and tequila shots :)
It would take something big for me to cancel, or as I say in the contract "an act of God". If it's for a session, we will find a mutually agreeable date to reschedule for. If it's for a wedding, I will find someone of equal professionalism and ability as me to capture your day, but I will still edit the photos so that the style of photography you paid for will remain the same.
If you cancel all together, you will lose the retainer. You can reschedule under a few parameters that are laid out in the contract. Both circumstances require a signed rescheduling/cancellation agreement by both parties.
I am great with photoshop, and have quite a bit of experience. for weddings, i edit out things that are temporary- zits, makeup on your dress, etc. Otherwise, I'm there to capture the moment exactly how it is! That means if you want me to edit out a panty-line or birthmark, it will be an additional cost.
